eGee I'm so bad at updating this sometimes...and by sometimes I mean always. I have had quite a few adventures in the past couple months. Most of them are just too crazy to quantify in words. All the changes I talked about in my last post are going just fine. It's amazing how life just keeps going.
I wanted to publish tonight about a few adventures I have that I actually have pictures of...rare for me, but alas I have them. First is that I went camping with the best people ever (that I'm not related to...) Here are the pictures I have of that experience:
A whole two pictures, and not one of me. I make up for that with a zillion pictures of me in a minute. These pictures were while we were making delicious food...
I lived with each of these girls at some point in the last three years. They are by far some of my greatest examples and have had big influences on my life. I'm so grateful for them. We went to one of my favorite places in the world and had heaven for 24 hours. Highlights of the trip included: Successful (some more than others) pigs in a blanket roasted over an open fire, the Ranger man double checking on us giggling girls...I think he was a little concerned about our safety and survival skills, an incredible dinner, s'mores for breakfast, beautiful four wheeling morning and afternoon, random hikes blazing our own trail halfway down mountains and back up, lots and lots of delicious food...I think I already mentioned that. I LOVE the mountains.
This past weekend I went on a little retreat with some members of the Utah Recreation Therapy Association (lovingly known as the URTA). We went up about an hour and a half northeast of here to a place called Hanna, UT. It was absolutely beautiful We had a great time doing what we rec. therapists do best, recreate. ("fishing", canoeing, playing games, hiking, and rappelling). We did do a little "work" by doing a session for CEU's. I love the theories behind Recreation Therapy! Here are some pictures from our rappelling adventures...
Mentally preparing myself to jump off a cliff that was 180 ft. high...or maybe they just caught a picture of me mid-sentence while I was basking in the sun. I was probably saying something about how I wasn't going to get sun burned...I did.
The cliff...if you look, you can see a tree on the top on the right. That's where we jumped off.
I have a recording of my coming down, but it wouldn't work to upload it. So if you want to see how cool I am, feel free to come over and I'll show you... ;)
Down safe :) I'm a pro.
So that was a lot of fun. My life is a lot of fun. Recent fun experiences at work are taking the old people to Snowbird Ski Resort to ride the tram, going to the State Fair, lots of fishing, many a picnic, Sheepherding competition, and lots of other randomness. Now I just have to figure out what to do for the next adventure...
