We made a last minute decision to go camping the first week of November, the 4th and 5th. We picked Stan up from work and headed south. Stan knew the only way to get me out was if it was warm enough, which meant south! :) We got there with enough time to set up the tent really quick before it got dark. Stan was an all-star and got our dinner cooked, delicious tin-foil dinners. We were able to have a quick fire and s'mores before a rainstorm hit. We took the boys to bed and they were champs. Even though there was thunder and lightning, they both went to bed no problem. With the fire out, a little rain off and on, and the boys not quite to sleep, Stan and I took our conversation to the car :) I love just sitting and talking to Stan, hearing his ideas and dreams. It was so fun. We hit the hay early and got ready for a fun day Saturday!

| No camp trip is complete without a delicious breakfast! I love how intensely Scott is eating his burrito in this picture |
| And I had to include a picture of Scott looking too :) These two twins. |
| This boy is such a happy fun companion |
| Our camp spot from a distance. |
| We loved camping here. These were gorgeous mountains! We want to go back to explore. |
| We camped right next to this stream. |
| Stan chased Scott around the camp...naturally. Sterling found it just as funny and exhilarating as Scott did. These boys... |
| Stan took Scott on a little walk because he was begging to. |
| Pretty sweet set up! |
We cleaned up, packed a lunch, and headed out. Not far from the campsite is the Three Rivers Petroglyph site. It. Was. Amazing. There were soooooooooo many petroglyphs.
| Scott was too excited to ride in the carrier. |
| "There is a petroglyph!" Scott ran from rock to rock pointing and saying he saw petroglyphs. It was adorable. I had to keep reminding him to not touch the rocks and so he would hold back his pointing hand from actually touching the rock using his other hand. Sometimes his cuteness is too much for me to handle. |
| It was threatening rain |
| "And there's a petroglyph!" ...sometimes there wasn't really one on the rock... |
We finished (aka, it started pouring) our time at the petroglyphs and headed on a drive up to Ruidoso, New Mexico. Ruidoso is up in the mountains and is known as a tourist town. We decided to walk down the street looking at all the shops. We saw some neat things and had to buy some red chile pistachios, a jar of local honey-which was delicious, and some yummy fudge at a candy shop!
| It didn't do anything but Scott thought it was sure cool to sit on. |
It was a really enjoyable afternoon. We headed toward home and stopped
at Sofia's Kitchen in Socorro for dinner. What a great weekend!
