Piedra Lisa and Scott and a tree

Scott turned one month old this week! Can't believe it's been only that long ;) Just kidding, I can't believe that he is that old already.

We went on a little hike today on a trail called Piedra Lisa in the foothills of the Sandia mountains. It was super windy which made the view a little clouded with dust, but we had a great time. As usual, Scott slept through it.

And this is a picture of a beautiful flowering Yucca plant/tree/thing. There are a bunch of different types of the Yucca here in New Mexico. Right now these trees are blooming and it is beautiful. This is a relatively small one. The larger trees have huge blossoms on top of them. We LOVE the blooming season in New Mexico and seeing all the desert plants!

Misty Sandia Crest

Yesterday Scott turned one month old. We celebrated by going on an adventure! We have wanted to hike along Sandia Crest out to a cabin and knew it would be a short easy hike, so that was our plan. The day started out pretty dreary with uncommon rain, but we decided to go for it anyway. We're so glad we did because it turned out perfect. Scott was an angel the whole time! We were sure lucky!

Scott stoked for our adventure
Gearing up for the hike...a fed baby is a happy baby

The limestone cabin was built by the CCC in the 1930's

He slept clear through the whole thing!

Our move a whole half mile away...

We moved last week. A couple in the ward is having us take care of their house and yard while they are on a six month temple mission.

Here we are driving our awesome Uhaul truck.

Here a random pictures we've taken of the boy in no particular order:

Scott's First Adventure

When Scott was a week and a half old we had to run an errand and since he was so good on the errand, we decided to just keep driving. That turned into a two hour drive along the Turquoise Trail behind the Sandias.

Scott loved every minute...he slept the entire time.

We kept seeing motorcycle riders and figured it was just a great scenic byway that they were all enjoying until we came across this small little town that was swarming with them. It was some kind of rally.  These pictures don't even do justice with how many motorcycles and people were there...and it was a tiny little place to be having that many!

We loved the little towns we drove through and felt like we were in the real wild west...and this town looked like it too. There looked there was just one stop sign, not even a light, in this place.
