Christmas Eve

Stan had to work a little bit on Christmas Eve. He did his Christmas shopping and then we began our partying!

We had invited a friend to come join us for Christmas Eve dinner and wanted Scott to open his presents from the Moore's with them watching so we had him open them at about 5. He was very excited about finally being able to open these presents.

He didn't even want to hold still for the picture, he was so excited
Looking at all the loot
He got some fun things but one of his favorite, favorite gifts was a train set that Stan picked up for him. We had to get it out and set it up right away.

He was running around and around and jumping up and down with excitement!
He put passengers into the train and laughed every time it passed him
We watched it for quite a long time
Other presents included "people" (Fisher Price vintage castle and hospital with people), and new books. He loved it. All we heard for the next few days was "people Daddy, people!!" or "Choo choo, choo choo!!" He had Stan set up the track many, many times during the week he had off work. It was really fun to open presents with Scott, he brought such excitement to it.

Then it was time for dinner! We decided to have the Moore family traditional Christmas Eve dinner and it was so good and so fun!

Ham, Potatoes with Ranch Dressing, Green Beans, Jello layers, yum!
Our holiday setting :)
Our candles lit and ready to dine!
Scott was all about the eggnog, just like his parents!

And it would not be complete with Raspberry Cheesecake, which turned out perfect!
We read about the birth of Christ in the New Testament after dinner and got Scott to bed. Our friend, Avram, hung out for a bit and we visited. After he left, Stan built a fire and we opened some of our gifts together. Stan was super thoughtful in the gifts he got for me this year and it was so fun to have our little Christmas in our home. That evening got us excited for the next day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
