Our next big adventure, besides all the fun things we did around town, in September was a camping trip to Snow Lake in southern New Mexico. This was another adventure that we had tried and hadn't made it all the way to Snow Lake. We had such a fun time and it was a beautiful area. There is definitely more exploring to do there! We picked Stan up from work on Thursday afternoon and headed down.

Friday we had a chill day. We stayed pretty close to camp and did some exploring. We even let the boys take a nap in the tent and just enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery close by.

This was a funny moment that we always quote. We were sitting by the fire and Scott was over by the food. He nonchalantly said as he was walking back towards "I got me a marshmallow, you want one?" He said it like you tell a friend. :) Such a cute kid.

| After dinner we made s'mores. Scott was so funny. He kept passing it back and forth between hands and it would stick to the hand he was passing it off from. He did it about five times before he just started to eat it instead of trying to keep the marshmallow from getting on him :) |

| The next morning, Stan took the car on a small drive to warm up a little. It was pretty cold! The lake had neat clouds coming off of it. |

Saturday morning we got all packed up and got ready for a hike.

| I can't think of what this plant is called now, but Scott calms it "yam's ear" (lamb's ear because it is soft like a lamb). He put it in his ear it, and it was cute :) |
