A visit from Jeff and Jessie

That next weekend in June, my awesome brother Jeff and his great wife Jessie came to visit! It was so fun to get to know Jessie better and to have them come play with us and to do a little adventure. They were troopers to put up with our craziness and Scott was in love with having them here. We loved having them here too and wish they would come back more often...or any of our family for that matter :)

Stan found some ruins to go check out in the middle of nowhere desert land. We drove out there, sunscreened up, and took off.

Scott had a little cheese snack as we headed out.
Jeff and Jessie were so excited
Stan led the way
And down we went
Beautiful
Stan was off hunting for ruins in another spot, but the three of us spotted this crazy lizard. It was the coolest thing I have seen close up wild animal wise
He just sat totally still and let us take a bunch of pictures
And when we were on our way back, he was still sitting there in the shade, and so I got a few more pictures. It was pretty big too
We didn't find too much evidence of the ruins :( The two pictures below are of the only thing that remotely looked like it was a ruin.

Jeff and Jessie, and the desert.
We headed back to the car, a little bit sad we hadn't found more proof of Indians, especially since we had drug Jeff and Jessie out there with us, but we still had fun together.

Stan went to check out what used to be their farm land and he could see the evidence of their terraces just by looking at the land.

Can you see it? You can see it better in this aerial view: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5560312,-106.2043818,135m/data=!3m1!1e3
We decided to go find a more desirable (cool/not in the middle of the desert/where there might be trees etc.) We drove behind the Sandias to a spot we have picnicked at before. It was beautiful and perfect. Stan grilled hamburgers while we enjoyed around us.

Jessie took Scott to smell some flowers.
And Scott is just cute, so here is a picture of him doing his thing. (Jeff was swatting the flies)
