Our fishing day rained out

The first weekend in June, we headed up to the Jemez mountains to do some fishing. There were storm clouds threatening, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We got to where Stan wanted to start fishing and set out to have a BBQ...when we realized I had forgotten the gas for the grill! Whoops! So we put everything back in the car and headed to the nearest little gas station. It POURED on our way there, and when we got back to the spot, it was a beautiful clear day :)

Scott was starving though and wanted a snack while lunch cooked.

Stan put in here, but the fish didn't want to bite. Well we actually didn't see any.
Scott played with a ball and sticks while Stan fished
When we didn't find much, and some clouds came back, we decided to give up on the fishing and go for a drive. We found ourselves a beautiful adventure.

We spotted this little ruin along one of the mountain roads.
And this beautiful meadow
And then we made our way to this peak that had a fire lookout on it. The view was outstanding!

Me grabbing a snack before we headed home. Pregnant ladies get hungry! :)
We had a wonderful day just driving in the mountains and visiting.
