Around Albuquerque September 2016

September was such a fun month with lots of trips but we had fun around town too. In fact, my parents even came for a visit!

Scott wanted Stan to take a picture of them :)

Somebody was making a mess and thought it was pretty funny

I wish I could remember why I took this picture...Scott asked me to? And then smiled like that? I don't remember...
We took a trip to the park one day while Stan was at work for my exercise:

😍

They have two slides right next to each other so we were going down together

He was having a blast playing with his shoe :)

On the teeter totter

Scott found Stan's cowboy boots and thought they were great though he couldn't take more than two steps in them without falling over

This kid started to wear 12M clothes at 9M...

Scott got invited to our next door neighbor's grandson's birthday

No September is complete without a fresh peach pie!

One Saturday we went to help with a warm service project. Sterling was waiting while we got our tools out.
I don't know what I have posted about this in the past but...Stan has long been interested in a tree called a Redbud. They have beautiful flowers the cover not just the branches but sometimes even grow on the trunks during the spring. Their colors range from deep purple to pink and we have learned there are even some white ones. Last year we went and got some seeds from a woman nearby that had a beautiful purple colored tree and tried to plant them. At one point, Scott dumped a couple of the pots out :( and we thought they were lost. Well one day in August maybe, I was going through the weeds and pulled one out, looked at it an realized it was a seedling for a redbud! It totally was growing right where Scott had dumped them! So Stan started to tenderly take care of it. Until one sad fateful day, while my parents were here, that Stan realized they looked more like a vine than a tree...and upon further investigation, we learned they were morning glories!!! :( We left the boys with my parents and went right back over the the lady's house where I originally got the seeds and asked if we could have some more. She was so nice and we have a bunch of seeds. I will post a special Redbud tree post all about Stan's adventures with growing trees. We were also able to get a good seedling to plant at home:

Stan planting and babying our new seedling (ok, so there were two...but someone (me) didn't really get the roots of the second one and it died pretty quick...)
Sterling loving being with Grandma.
Scott loved that Grandpa would play games with him. Grandpa tried to teach him the real rules and Scott didn't really care for them :)
While watching a show, Scott went over to Mom and Dad and said, while squeezing himself in, "There room for me Grandpa?"

Stan brought me these beautiful flowers from the arroyo :) He gets me

Sugar cookies!

New haircut!

Singing "I'm so glad when Daddy comes home" :)
It was a good month!
