Thanksgiving Part 1- Mesa

Since leaving town for Christmas this year was out of the question with the baby coming so soon, we decided to hit up both families at Thanksgiving time by driving to Mesa, flying from Phoenix to Twin Falls and then back, and then driving home. We left for Mesa on Saturday morning. Time seemed so short. Scott did lots of hanging out with Grandma, Grandpa, and his aunts and uncle that were town.

On Monday afternoon/evening we went to a train park. Scott loved seeing all the trains! While waiting in line to ride a train, Scott took up running down the aisle and got Aunt Jenni and Grandma to join in:

Going on the train, though his face doesn't show it, he was excited!

Hanging out with Aunt Jenni
They had a museum that had A TON of model trains all set up. Scott loved every second of this part. He got so excited to see the trains moving along the track.

They also had a carousel that we went on. Scott loved the horses and going around and around. We couldn't get him to look at the camera and smile so here's the best one:

Our time there seemed to fly by but it was so fun. Scott just loved spending individual time with each family member.

And any time Wilford was home, he was Scott's favorite.
Our plan was to have an evening at home with them before we headed back to Albuquerque at the end of our trip, but a delayed flight in Salt Lake City made us not get back to Phoenix until late on Monday night. We were delayed for almost six hours. We were sad to miss out on that evening but what do you do? This is what we did with Scott on the flight home to Phoenix. He fell asleep on me but it wasn't super comfortable, so we laid him out on the tray tables...he didn't seem to mind.

We left Tuesday from Mesa just in time for nap time. Scott was asleep in minutes:

And Stan wasn't far behind:
