Snow Adventure

There was beautiful snow the day after Christmas and so we had to go take advantage of it! We bought snowshoes a couple years ago and haven't had the opportunity to use them very often, so we borrowed a sled to pull the boys behind and headed off!

Family pic at the trailhead
Playing with snow is still a little bit of a novelty for Scott and definitely don't have this much ever at our house. He was fascinated with it on his "gwubbs" and kept picking up more.

Off we go!
On the trail, the snow was pretty well packed down, but anywhere off-trail was beautiful mounds of soft fluffy snow.
Scott kept falling off the sled. He was being pretty silly and having a fun time.

Playing in the snow.
Sterling was pretty cold but still relatively happy.
We found it a bit hard to use the sled we had borrowed on the soft fluffy snow because it kept tipping on us :( so we just played in the snow for a bit, then Stan watched the boys while I snowshoed for a minute and vice versa.

😍😍😍😍
My handsome boys!
Sterling would not cooperate for the pictures anymore!
Scott liked to walk through the deep snow and kept purposely walking there instead of the beaten path. He was so cute tripping all over the place but plugging along. The video below shows it and at the beginning he is saying over and over again "Oh snap". It's really quiet so you have to listen close.

At one point he chose to just lay down and hung out for a minute, happy as can be.
The way back down the trail was a lot more fun because it was downhill! Stan ran along the sled some:

And then he got on! Scott laughed and loved it until Stan put his feet down to stop, Scott doesn't appreciate snow in his face!

Quick picture of my love and I before we headed out. Love our adventures!
