Camping in the Jemez

On June 17th we decided it was time to head out again. We wanted to try and camp at our back-camping spot from last year but it was taken when we got there. So we just drove until we found a place. I really liked our spot and it was a great time. We were glad Kevin decided to join us. Because we had such a late start we ate our dinner on the road.

Blueberry pancakes in the morning! Look at the size of that pancake! Stan would flip them in the air, so exciting

Our tent setup- after the last disaster, we knew we needed something to help Scott stay put- enter the Intex Kids' Travel bed. We have taken it everywhere and love it for him. Sadly we still have trouble keeping him warm and we are working on it, but he didn't roll around the bottom of the tent like last time.

And then we drove the long way home like we should :)

We stopped for a BBQ lunch and a little walk.

New Mexico needs some rain...it was a little dusty
Beautiful flowers
Cute baby during our lunch
He was just happy to not be in his car seat.
Stop and smell the flowers!
Scott wanted to keep walking but it was getting pretty sunny and hot and we had not put on sunscreen. I made him stop in the shade and entertained him by having him taking selfies :)
I love this adventuring boy! On the way back, he and Stan (who was back at the car already) were whooping back and forth at each other.
